I don't really have much info on this video other than the fact that it is of the 2014 BMW R nineT driving around town. Some great shots of the bike. And you can get an idea of how the bike rides a bit. You can also hear the engine.

Enjoy.

Blame ? Surely not.

But if we want a forum where everyone can find easily the information he needs, a little structure might be necessary, no ?

The administrator of this forum took some time to post all information, vidéos and pics from start in the wright topics. Looking to those topics before posting is showing him respect for fis forum.

Hi all
They should of done a better vid than this effort.
More like a ktm super duke video ,or a stunt rider doing a wheelie down hill , launching it off a crest ,leaving some rubber on road out of a corner that vid is making me yawn.
Bikes fantastic

that DRIVING video was not very good, compared to the 7 minute movie about the bike's introduction. surprised about that. can't wait to see more

Looking at some of these videos, and pictures, I have to say I am a bit concerned about the seating position. Are the front pegs back as far as a Ducati Monster? Although I have no R Nine T to sit on and judge, I sure have sat on Monsters, and that peg placement is too far back for me (being an old fart)

the riding position is going to lean your forward. it won't be as upright as folks think. the bars are quite low and forward, as far as i can see

of course, everything can be changed and customized

I would be real interested in someone with an R 1200 R commenting on their peg placement. When I compare the R's pegs, with the Nine T's pegs, they seem to be at the same approximate location. I agree with you Greg, I think the position will be more forward leaning on the T. I think I am gonna visit my dealer tomorrow, and see how the R's position via pegs is, to give me some degree of comparison. One thing I do know, is the position is gonna be a WHOLE Lot different than the old R69s I had in the early 70's.

Hi, rkevwill. I too was concerned about the ergonomics of the ninet, but was directed by another forum member to the following site:

Motorcycle Ergonomics

The site lets you compare how you will be positioned on different motorcycles. The nineT and the r1200r are definitely different in their ergonomics, with more forward lean on the nineT. However, the forward lean is not as much as you would find on the Ducati Monster 1100 or even the Moto Guzzi Griso.

What I most enjoyed about the comparison is that the ergonomics of the nineT are remarkably close to the R90S!:)

I should probably emphasize that there is less forward lean on the nineT than a Monster 1100. However, the cycle ergo site indicates identical lean (for my size) across the nineT and the new Monster 1200. The Monster has your knees bent more for what would appear to be a sportier seating position. The nineT looks a little more relaxed.

It's a fairly central foot to peg setup but the pegs are high on the frame not sports bike height but still high ,I'm 5'-11" and my 33" inside leg was well up the tank ,but it is a small bike feeling compared to R1200r:eek:
If it's not rite in the ergo department just lower the pegs or custom pad the seat out ,just don't option the custom seat as it's even lower:eek::D:D

I see myself riding the nineT on scenic roads with long sweeping turns so relaxed is what i want to hear :D i mainly use the Monster for spirited back road riding.
