The Euro 5 nineT is here!

Two months ago i bought my brand new Classic as well @Alligator ...

Why you are not happy ? I am not into the design of the new headlight as well...

I haven't seen one in person yet but the one "we" are wearing right now i much more nicer looking considering the overall design of the bike.

Maybe up close and personal i will change my mind, from the photos ... ? Not interested.

The signal lights ? A big no for me. The current led i am wearing are simple, edgy and minimalistic. I like them.

My only concern is that if they are making any changes in the engine, horsepower wise.

Not that i am lacking power but... that's something major if the go that way.

Any information about that anyone?

This is exactly what happens in Milan and in the whole Lombardy region! I have a 2014 Euro 3 and it won't be allowed to enter in Milan (Area B) starting October 2028 but I really don't care because it will be 14 years old and once it will be 20 years old I will apply for the historical registration (CRS) and use it with no limits until its natural end. Outside Milan resctrictions will apply mostly on winter months so it's not a real problem.

I thought a lot about it and I have no plans to trash money to update to Euro 4, Euro 5, Euro 6.... They want you to spend a lot of money trading in the old bike to only get 3 new years of "allowed use" each time you step up the Euro number. I'm having my tubes removed and my wheels sealed and next I'm going to update my suspensions to full Ohlins. In the future I could consider the idea to add another bike next to nineT but it should be a totally different bike with better performance, not the same bike with less performance because of the new regulations.

In the end, over here, we'll be allowed to drive only electric bikes or historical bikes.

@Nico9T , yes i totally agree with every word you said about regulation, restrictions etc.

That was my point so show our friend @Alligator that for the time being and for many of the next years he has nothing to afraid as i already assumed.

I had no idea that in order to keep with the regulations the engine seems a little more "toned down" to the previous models.

Believe me my friend, for me, a person who was riding for 15 years a K 1200 R with 163 hp before going to an R Nine T never cared for such a significant difference in power
otherwise i would have chosen and stayed with a more close to the K series bike.

But on the same series of bikes deciding out of the blue adding more power i would have found it a little disrespectful for the people who have bought it already.

The aesthetically additions ? Lights etc... always welcome, always good to have the ability to chose from various things. If they are retrofitting which i believe they will...
