Bought this bike in October 2020...as of posting this, it's now May 30th, 2021....so didn't take me long to start going broke modifying it. :ROFLMAO:

I had a pretty clear cut idea of what I wanted this bike to look like, just the timeline on paper was a bit longer than what it turned out to be in real life all because of a stupid bet :ROFLMAO:. Photos are in chronological order with dates of where it started to where it currently is.

Getting loaded to bring her home from the dealer.

Nice job. I like the billet aluminum work. How does it handle?

Best,
-Tim
It handles phenomenally. I’m tweaking the clip-on angle; it’s a work in progress as I can only really ride 2 hours before my wrists start bothering me….which also isn’t too big a deal since you can really only ride 2 hours before needing gas anyways. I also think a lot of the issue is they really only start bothering me cause a lot of the time, the tail end of the ride is going down hill, usually for 20-30 miles at a time, which also puts added pressure on the wrists…haven’t really done a ride where I’ve been on flats the whole time or going up hill.

Looks really good Nate, the carbon bits are very Nouveau-Classic, looks like a track bike, something you’d race not distance ride. Two hours in “Jockey” stride at speed is exhausting.
I don’t think tweeting the clips is going to help that much. Your choices are clean, I especially like the belly pan addition. Looks like it’s going 100 when it’s parked. Good job, beautiful bike man ..........Blitz

Nate your build is coming along nicely. Have you noticed any differences with you intake mods? I was thinking of doing something similar with 3D printed parts.

thanks man! That’s precisely the look I was after. I wanted to keep the classic lines and overall feel of the bike without changing TOO much.

Honestly, outside of intake sound, no. I admittedly did it for the looks more than anything else. 😅 I think the RapidBike EVO and MyTuningBike are doing a good job of managing it though.

Damn Nate, that’s just .... beauty on a kick stand. I wouldn’t be able to ride it, every time I threw my leg over the saddle my head would swell up so big I’d fall over ! If that doesn’t turn heads ...it’s because their staring at a cell phone. I’d really appreciate hearing a sound bite from on board the bike as you run up through the gears under generous acceleration. I hope you use a full face helmet.... else your going to eat a lot of bugs.. being unable to wipe that huge grin of your face. Fine job of personalizing your machine. Fine job ! .......Blitz

So no issues with wheel alignment?
@NateE
Looks amazing by the way.
Congratulations on a fantastic job.
Nah, zero alignment issues. I was really worried about it especially going to a 190, but it’s dead center:

The front on the other hand took some figuring out. While the instructions are clear for the most part, the non-abs side they just say “install spacer and omit OEM spacer”. Well, there’s three other spacers in the bag and they’re not labeled. They pressfit into the bearings, so finagling which spacer goes where was quite the ordeal having to pressfit and knock it back out if you put the wrong one in. I’m assuming the different spacers are for different years, models, and forks. Two of them are only 1-2mm difference in thickness, which also made things fun 😂 And as luck would have it, the third spacer was the correct one. So it was over 2 hours just fitting the front wheel.

The valve covers took no time at all to install. I didn’t take any pics, but the lower twist support is VASTLY different from the stock one. So yes, if you get the BMW HP carbon valve covers, you need to buy the entire diagram as nothing on the bike is compatible. Not sure how the Ilmberger ones are. Kind of curious….

This is great news.
I'm hoping whatever issue was encountered by others has been resolved.
Your bike is 2017+ looking at the colour of the swingarm?

Maybe worth adding a note to this thread?
Thanks.
