Time to replace the tyres on my urban GS, currently Metzeler Tourance Next which have been great grip wise but visually a road tyre and although I have no intention of riding off road I'm thinking of changing for something more 'off road looking' with out sacrificing the leant over grip confidence the 90/10 road tyres offer.
Has anyone tried the Avon Trial Master tyre? Looks chunky but 90/10 road biased with softer compound on the edges for cranked over grip on British roads (according to the sponsored reviews).
@Kreddy member @wilf hasn't been on the forum in over two years so you may not get a reply from them.
Maybe try sending them a private Conversation message which may alert them via email.
BTW there is no Trail master on the avon webiste (anymore), just the trailrider and the trekrider. The first being more 90/10 and the latter more 80/20 road/offroad.
Hi Kreddy,
In my experience the Trailrider is a great performing road tyre, wet or dry, with a rugged tread pattern,
i didnt go off road so the 10% i cant vouch for,
Thanks everyone for recommendations, however I went with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR. Hopefully will mount them next week and until winter will have some opinion to share.
