At present the external brake lights are not a viable option to pair with the newer bikes, but that might change soon here, I gave an update over in this post that could help answer that

Tail tidy on a 2021 R9T
Hey guys, I installed the Integrated (Run-Turn-Brake) Tail Tidy and the Rizoma Club standard turn signals. Looks great and works great with the ignition on. But when I turn on the engine, the brake light won't work, and I get the lamp error. Everything else works fine - even the running tail...
