Nicolas Petit has created two new trim options for the BMW nineT. The first is retro styled. It has lush chrome accents on the tank and a naked design to pay homage to bikes of the past. It also has a shorter rear loop with a solo seat, low, MotoGP-like shorty silencers, and an intriguing steel arched front cowl that hold a classic round headlight.

The second design is much more sporty. It is a half-faired bike with round 70's racing lines integrated in a flowing, modern race bike concept. Scrambler side-plates create a cafe-racer-like solo seat with an integrated small hump, and the killer underseat flared Akrapovic can.

THe second design is awesome. I would be happy to ride that thing around town anytime.

For a cafe fairing, (which I will personally not be using), a style hyping the R90s, in delineated NineT colors would be very cool. I'm willing to bet they will be out there by someone, may have to have them custom painted.

I've mentioned in the forum before, I restore cars, and trade, sell, or keep them. I've also mentioned I have a good friend (my office admins husband) who custom makes high end bicycle frames, and does custom bikes (he's a Norton and ducati freak actually). I saw an R65 on ebay, needed a bit of work, and considered buying it. After talking to the rumored best BMW engine expert about 100 miles away from me, adding new forks, 17 inch wheels with fatter coker tires, wires or alloy wheels, hot ignition, new fancy high end shocks, new saddle, new handlebars, and some other niceties, some custom fabrication, etc etc. that $2000 bike goes up above 10,000. Lot of that work I am not competent to do myself, and would have to pay someone. Doubt it could ever be sold for that price down the road. I think the NineT is a pretty good deal compared to all that anxiety LOL.
