This is not looking good for us Americans. According to the UK BMW website, I see a price of £8,741.67 for a R1200R which translates to $14,063.60 according to google. My local dealer has a price of $14,100.00 for the R1200R which is nearly an exact conversion of the UK price. If you convert the UK price for the nineT, you're looking at $18,710.34 according to google.

Ok so it's start price for a standard bike with no extra frills £11,630 ,so with a few extras I will probably end up at £13,000 ;):D
My dealer called yesterday. They have confimed this as the 'on the road' price. The only factory option being the alarm. All other extras are fitted at the dealership. I'm going for the soft luggage and low Akrapovic as a minimum. I guess my package out the door at about 13k too.

Paul

ps they've taken 6 deposits so far.

thanks for the info
most akrapovic systems in the US.. ("full" systems, that is) go for around $3,000.00. i'm wondering how this will "translate" to pricing for the nineT

it's not unusual for the price of the Akrapovic systems to be that much I mean your are getting what you pay for. it is something to consider for me but i'll wait to see what options are available later on.

Stock Can For Me

I personally love the stock shotgun exhaust and it's more than loud enough with the exhaust valve working ,also usually with aftermarket cans you loose some low down grunt and a few BHP and engine breaking especially with decat headers ,also there not as noisy even with the exhaust valve still inline

Again each to his/her own on how you want your toy to look but I won't throw my hard earned funds on a akro ;):D

It's a very personal choice how you want your bike to be observed and envied ,and also BMW want owners to customise their bikes in what ever way pleases the owner so enjoy your styling clearwaterBMW ;)
