Slowly getting the new bars fitted while I wait for my painter to work her magic. The front brake line seems a little tighter so I might have to do something about that. Wondering if I can get a fitting to add to the line to give me a couple more centimeters length, rather than getting a whole new line.

I’ve been thinking about those bars. Are those DK Design (?), Renthal, or one of the myriad of copy cats? This is a rare case where I wonder which is the chicken and which is the egg.

The ones in the picture say Renthal on them.

These are the Renthal Twinwall, the bend is called RC High which is the highest one they make.

I may have to resort to that but it's a little pricey, I'm wondering if it's a fairly common type of fitting that can be found locally?

I would like to think that in a city the size of Toronto somebody must have the ability to make custom lines and could make a really short one for you.

A pretty expensive little adapter in my opinion - 40 Euros plus shipping. I couldn't find an alternative though, and I know they make a quality piece so probably worth it in the long run. This will extend my front brake line at the reservoir so that I have no issues.

Also the painting has started - this is the first pic of the prep. My painter said it was quite difficult to remove the factory decals. I guess because they were under the clearcoat.

Too late! Anyway, so you know the shipping is not too bad, 9 Euros and because they put it in regular mail, it doesn't go through customs.

Thats good to know. I was thinking of getting the Voight risers at the same time.

When I ordered the risers they didn't post it, it came through DHL so I did have to pay HST for that one. By the way, if you were thinking you need one of these adapters for the clutch - it seems like it's not necessary for that, you can take up some slack from under the battery and it seems like it will be long enough, even with my approx 2" risers and wider bars.

Nose cone have been painted, I don't think it has the final clearcoat yet, just an initial coating.

Tank painted, but without the clearcoat applied. Black parts will be satin, the rest high gloss.

Got the painted parts back, and put the bike back together. Still waiting on Ilmberger Carbon cylinder head covers and need some bar ends. Other than that, it might be done! Once it warms up I will take more beauty pics in a nicer location. This is where she sleeps during the winter.

Do you want the OEM bar ends? I have a set from my Urban. I've got handguards so I'm not using them.
