Thanks for posting ...
I quite like the design of it, but shame about the nasty tacky badge on it.
Some of these manufacturers have no clue about how people want their bikes to look
Belchy, I agree the tag sucks! If I was to order this I think I'll call and see if they'll remove it. Deal killer if the tag stays.

I'm considering the Compition Werkes exhaust.

Primarily because I like how small it is.

My bike is in solo mode :

Plus, I like that it comes in satin black or Tungsten

But

I'm not a farkles guy.
More of a form follows functions.

Hence, me starting this thread.
I'd hate to find out something about it after I've gotten it.

Like maybe, because it is so small, I will , significantly, loose low end torque.

Or something I'm not aware of.

Thanks gents.
I've had mine for easily 8 months now and it doesn't impact the bikes performance at all. It can be loud at speed when the bike is hot but that's all. I haven't noticed any drop off in torque either. I bought the carbon fiber unit and the only draw back is the detail of the weave pattern has browned out. I think you'll be very happy if you decide to buy.

I managed to get this photo from CW. It depicts all the available colorways:

From L-R

Gold - satin silver - mag silver - titanium - tungsten - cobalt - black velvet - cobra black

Which would suit my motorcycle best, gents?

I'm thinking either cobalt or black velvet.
Interesting, I don't see the carbon fiber unit there. Maybe there were issues with that one or too expensive or no one but me liked it.

Indeed. It does run nicer without the butterfly valve.
Significant reduction in engine braking. It should be accelerating better but I can't tell because I installed there booster plug the same day.
I can speak on the differences in performance. First off our configuration is identical (booster plug). I originally ran the Comp Werkes with the DB killer in and yes there was more torque and engine braking. The motor did not run as smoothly, more rumbly to me. I did enjoy the low end torque because the bike was real quick to "get the jump" on everyone. Since removing the flapper I felt a smoother rev but there was a loss in torque but I don't mind because I'm prone to being pulled over by cops. Overall, the motor doesn't seem to pull as hard. I may plug the DB killer back in...the jury's still out.

Love the paint
Welding a bit sloppy
Feels like quality in hand
Very light
Still dislike the blatant RED branding tag. I'm looking into using acrylic paint to blacken it out.

With baffle inserted:

Hedonist, I'm gonna wait for your review of this DB killer. I want to know how the exhaust note changes/sounds and how it affects the performance. Specifically torque.

I think I'll first ride it with the baffle.
Then I'll take it off and hear the difference.

Do you think torque will be affected by the baffle?

Also, will the shorter exhaust affect torque?

I guess I could. But wouldn't there be holes in the exhaust, from where the rivets were?
Hedonist, I've already ordered the baffle, for the price it doesn't hurt if I don't like it. I am still interested in hearing what you have to say. To answer your question regarding torque, the baffle increases the back pressure which in turn increases torque, how much of an increase I wouldn't know. When I removed my flapper valve I noticed a slight decrease in torque but I liked the new exhaust note so I kept it as is. I also read on this thread about exhaust note tone and he was right, it's not about volume but tone. So I'm playing around and hoping this new direction is what I'm looking for.

So far as a shorter exhaust goes and its affect on torque I know nothing about that concept.

On another note would you be so kind as to post a better picture showing your exhaust hanger I want to see how it looks in black.

Hedonist, after looking at your setup I recall another member who built a LED tail tidy specifically designed for what you have. It's a dual LED light bar built in an aluminum housing that will follow the outline of your seat...something to think about my friend.

Thanks, Dave.

From a very cursory observation, I think I prefer sans baffle. Because with the baffle, it sounded high pitched. In fact, louder. Like a shrill sound compared to deep without the baffle.
I'm not sure if you could notice that from the video.
But, this is observation from revving in a garage. Driveability will be tested soon.

Regarding social consideration.....It's a bit different from you folk in western Europe.
Over here, people are up till 10 pm. Cars, delivery motorcycles, ppl are still out and about till 10pm. Plus, there are enough super cars in the area that they drown out whatever decibels my r ninet excretes lol.

But, yes, if I were in North Europe, West Europe and the UK, I'd think twice about my sound contribution.

Thank you for the suggestion.
Are you referring to this:

If so, while it's nice. It feels a bit too futuristic for me personally. I feel it'd deviate away from my vision of what I want my bike to look like.

I don't know if you've noticed, but I've got that rizoma tail/brake/running lights on the rear seat sides.
Yeah, I saw your turn indicators I did not see the rest of it though. At the last minute I saw where you had a flap to finish off the rear of the seat. In your earlier posts all I saw was the latching mechanism. Good job on finishing the rear end. I still want a good shot of your exhaust hanger. I'm undecided if I want to paint/powdercoat mine. Your bike is looking good Bro!

Hi all, I'm looking for a low level aftermarket End can for the Urban as I think the low level can looks better than a high can and if I want to carry luggage later it would assist.
I've got titanium Akropovic headers coming today but I think the Akro end can doesn't look right / too modern for the Urban.
Saw this Werkes can and thought it's the kind of look I like and wondered if anyone has any knowledge of these or has fitted one???
I've had the Comp Werkes on for 1 1/2 years. It's loud for me and to quiet it down I have the Werkes and the OEM DB killers installed to help. I'm running stainless headers and the Werkes is stainless too and everything is "burning in" beautifully...a very rich looking brown. For me this compliments the bike well, getting away from the highly polished look of the original headers. The exhaust note is deep and rumbly and burbly with some slight popping when not under a lot of load, but when the motor is under load the note gets a bit tinny sounding. I've gotten a butt load of compliments on this exhaust.
