Hey guys!

Happy to say we've become a retailer for PVM wheels! As far as we know we're one of the only (if not only) US distributor or PVM Wheels.

We went out looking for some nice wheels to complete our shop bike project, and PVM, as the original manufacture of the wheels for the famed BMW HP2 bikes, was a perfect fit. They've got a variety of different options for all manners of different bikes, but for ours, we went for the minimal and functional 5 Y wheels set. After talking to the folks there at PVM in Germany, we decided we would help out and be a new source for their wheels for the North American market.

All wheels come with valve stems and front wheel bearings

We currently have 3 sets in stock, but can order whatever you'd like. Lead times are typically about a month from PVM

1 x Matte Black 3.5" front, 5.5" rear (stock width)
1 x Raw/Silver 3.5" front, 5.5" rear
1 x Raw/Silver 3.5" front 6" rear

You can find them Here on our website!

We'll have some shots of some on our show bike coming up soon. Currently getting a set for ourselves powder coated :D

Some words from PVM:

This is the second generation of forged wheels made by PVM following the general trend towards FEM calculated wheels. For the first time, weight reduction was the main goal instead of design and visual considerations. The engineers succeeded in achieving a further weight reduction of up to 20% whilst improving the stability of the wheel at the same time. A forged aluminium front wheel sized 3.5 x 17’’ e.g. for a Ducati 998R now weighs only 3.3 kg completely ready for fitting. The weight optimization is even more striking for the back wheels: In this case for example the 6 x 17’’ wheel of a Yamaha R1 was reduced to slightly more than 5 kg.

What’s up with the disclaimer “for racing and non-highway use only”?

Very nice! Does this mean you don't need an inner tube with this wheel?
That is correct! These are tubeless wheels

Does that mean no Euro4 bikes at all? I know the '17+ R NineT standard has a different ABS sensor than 14-16. I'm guessing that is possibly the reason for none of the other submodels too.
The wheel will fit the 17+ ninet's just fine. In terms of the other sub models, I'm not entirely sure. I believe it's because the front end on those models is different (non inverted front forks, different brakes etc) although I haven't had the opportunity to try and fit one.

Like many wheel manufacturers, the wheels aren't DOT certified. A technicality that has to be stated for legality/import status.
