My seat ramblings...
I have a 2018 'Classic' and put 31k on the stock seat, the longest ride being 1018 US miles and a couple of 777 rides: I wouldn't recommend the stock seat for anyone spending all day in the saddle unless they were a$$h0l35. I considered LAAM and Sargent for restuffing or replacement.
I finally took the dive on Sargent's $409 incl. tax (plus shipping) built solo saddle that features their own pan. @BaldyDave has photos and a bit of write-up. My summary: everyone's bum is different and the Sargent's pan was not comfortable under mine. The edge of the pan seemed to rise and 'bite' into my leg after an hour. However, their foam was a noticeable improvement. Taking advantage of Sargent's "try it for 30-days" guaranty to return my new seat, (I don't think this is an option with custom builds) I went into their showroom with my stock seat and asked for new foam on the stock pan. The total cost for the solo and pillion squib was $279 incl. tax (plus shipping): I kept my original vinyl because I like the stock look. Pretty cheap if it works the trick.
I haven't put enough miles on the restuff to form an opinion yet and will update this post after a few all-day rides.
