Most dealerships have a full set of wallet hammers. Bought two snorks on the inner webs and both were delivered yesterday for a little less than the price of a new one from 🇩🇪. Funny how one had a "like new" airbox attached to it and that one was 10 bucks less than the snork alone. Free shipping too. Go figure. Anyone need an airbox? Lol
Just check the bike over and rode with hun and a buddy. Norfolk- Portsmouth-Suffolk- Smithfield- Surry - took the Scotland/Jamestown ferry to Williamsburg for a delicious sailor and Guido at Paul's . Then back home.
I'll let you Brits unpack all that and let it rattle around in the old nut for a tick.

side note: Jamestown settlement was the first official English law in North America.

I think it was a part of a demo kit for one of those robot vacuum cleaners. I was in a friends garage. I use those interlocking closed cell foam mats when I'm home for the same thing. It makes a little easier on these old knees and keeps the cold from seeping up through that concrete.

Made my first addition. Rizoma Radius RS mirrors. What do you think?

Would have loved some bar end mirrors. But I have to squeeze the bike down the side of the house and have only millimetres to spare.

Well today, my twinmax arrived and I took the plunge on trying to balance the throttle bodies on the bike. Turns out it was ridiculously easy to do (thanks to all who posted info on this forum and also on you tube). I really have to get over my apprehension of all thing mechanical, so far they've all been easier than I thought.

Anyway, after quite a few turns of the cable (I was a long way out) I now have that smooth turbine like engine back. I thought on a few rides recently that the engine was getting a bit vibey and so that's what led me to this twin max purchase. Highly recommended and worth doing.

Throttle body sync recommend every valve check or air filter change.
The fly by wire bikes don't require throttle body sync.
I use a carb tune.

I like that custom tool for holding the lifted fuel tank up, @Baloo ! Is that from Rizoma, Unit Garage, or Wunderlich?

Just kidding, of course. Glad you were able to replace the broken snorkle quickly enough.

I see most people lift the tank from the front and let it pivot on the rear. What is the best way?

Discovered what BMW cram into their little symbols window.

My R Nine T shows a spanner for when the service is due, cruise control activation and a petrol pump when the tank is low. These rotate in succession when the warning is needed.

To add to the symbols it was cold enough yesterday morning to show a snowflake despite it being the end of April.
