Touched up the right side crash bar that I scraped in my off road adventure a couple of weeks ago.
Got my UGS good and dirty

I never really developed a skill for painting, but standing nearby it looks OK for a temporary patch, better than this close up reveals. I will have to replace it at some point but it's not in the budget right now, and at least it looks better than the silver-to-rust.

I WAS going to install the translogic quickshift so I could get some data logging on the strain gauge but then......

Transmission connectors on the injectors for 2021+...... (WHY BMW? WHY? Not only are the connectors hard to get, but the injectors are now entirely proprietary)

Then it rained. Yep. the tailpiece is useless.

It's been slightly toasty and I noticed one reflector was shaking a whole lot. Took a peek and pop.

We joke about these falling off, but it halfway happened (see the diff colors of adhesive and partially missing). Kinda wish there was some other way to connect the headers because that H-Pipe is going to be a real chore with rain and dirt.

Every time I ride this more than 10 minutes I fall in love with it all over again.

Deleted my subframe and replaced the stock exhaust with a Bos Outlaw slip on - oh what a nasty snarl it has. I left the flapper in place for now since I have a set of Akraprovic headers to install after first service. I think the bike lost about 20 lbs in that process. Also added a ViziTech SupaBrake III brake light modulator...I will be seen and heard!!

Before with the powerbronze hugger:

Just Got rid of the rear hugger and changed it for a mudsling. Reason being I like the look of an uncovered tyre. the hugger suits the racers more. The. Mudsling is more like a conventional mudflap ON A mx BIKE with a lot more protection. You do lose a bit of visual appeal of the shock absorber but it's definitely better to keep grit and dirt off it.

Quad erat demonstrandum - show pics after a muddy/rainy trip and I'll agree.
Not much protective, I tell you and visual - well... 🤔
And it's only the OEM shock not a hightech absorber

The ‘used universe’ look is always the best. Perfect and shiny is for showrooms, used and loved is for scrambling.
