This past Saturday I had the tachometer installed by the dealer, but have some issues. It’s not registering the speed correctly and looks like it freezes. This is the bike parked and still shows 3mph. Unless I’m missing something, this doesn’t look right. Gonna have to get it back to the dealer!
Didn’t ride more after I got home so installed a few bits: Evotech oil cooler guard, SW Motech engine protector, Unit Garage side bag, and Wunderlich crash bars. Fun to do the mods, but I need to give my wallet a rest. Personal goal: no more mods till after 6K mile service.

I am pretty sure the "3" refers to the average speed over your journey. Reading through the manual on mine it will display average speed, voltage and average fuel consumption. If you hold the button down it should reset and recalculate the average.

Like Bobber said; it's the average speed you did over the past amount of miles registered by the meter.

The right meter only gives "Extra" information that you could go without, all important stuff is on the left meter.

Only had the bike a month.
Added the unit garage heavy duty crash bars that slot into the frame instead of just bolting to a little bracket.

Unit rear luggage rack and top box, GS carry strap.

Unit Front windshield (yellow) with GPS bracket (waiting for the Tom Tom to arrive)

GS style handguards with yellow windscreens to match. Bought some second hand R1250 bar end weights I increased the ID to suit the M12 bolts. Had to modify the handgaurds windshields others they didn't sit inside the handgaurds where the bar ends fit.
Added a GS sump guard + pressed number plate

Side stand enlarger plate

Yesterday added the 2 socket USB.

And trickle charger

Had surgery a couple weeks back. Took a short ride against doctors advice.

Please take it easy.

Having surgery next month so I'm planning on getting in a lot of rides as soon as possible. Hopefully the type of surgery I'm getting will permit me riding days after later.

By the way, I like that helmet you got. Goes great with your bike. Who makes it and what model is it?

Thanks Bobber! Did not even occur to me that was just registering average mph. Should’ve at least looked at the manual.

Readjusted the suspension from gf weight to my weight and burned through a tank. From Elkton back to Luray to a new fave coffee shop to do some "research " eating. Messed about on some back roads around the valley and back to Elkton along Skyline Drive. Thorton gap south to Swift Run gap. Stopped at our local brewery for a couple kombuchas and talked with a few thru hikers off the AT for libations. Back home to chip away at the barn cleaning.

DK Design plus Quadlock: I’m a fan of symmetry and great product design. Just added Quadlock, not only to the bikes, but also to the cars. One quick twist, and you’re golden. Incl. vibration dampener and charger both for peace of mind. I love the looks! @dodgybugga that’s what you were after as well, no?

Easy: work on the itinerary for my summer trip once around the Alps!
My 3 boys are all graduating in 6 weeks, and the rental BMWs already waiting… 8 countries in 2 weeks, could be worse.
Oh, yeah, and designed the appropriate T-Shirts:

If planning to navigate by T-shirt, then print the map mirror image. That way you can quickly view the map in your mirror instead of having to stop and take off your shirt to view the map.
Yeah, I figured if we need to zoom in, kids can just come over and look at my shirt…I inhale instead of they pinch…

Rebplaced the startermotor brushes today.

With a few extra steps in the way today I finally concluded the bad starting Niner. Now she starts like a charm!

precious steps:

Rplace battery
Clean startermotor 1x
Clean startermotor 2x (very thourougly this time)
Replace Solenoid

Very happy that I didnt have to buy a new startermotor!
