The delivery of our R nineT bikes is only a few months away. Never in history have we been given the opportunity to customize a BMW motorcycle in quite this way.

What plans do you ALREADY have to CUSTOMIZE YOURS?

thanks, as always, in advance

My customised R9T

To start with I will install a very enthusiastic rider (me) aboard my dream machine to ensure it has a purposeful life.

When that is sorted next:
Custom comfort seat, raising ride position
Full pipe (flick the cat) - Akra can
K&N air filter
Sump guard
Headlight grill
Probably hand guards - I've got a set somewhere (barkbuster type)
Change fork colour from gold (stock) to black or alu match
A bit of pinstripe on the tank.

Once it has done about 3-5k's, I'll take it around Phillip Island, and see what else will take it up a notch although it will always remain a road bike so I can use it daily.

I do about 25-30k's a year so I'm sure it will remain a 'work in progress'.

i do like the thought of changing the fork color

In fact those mods where planned on my R1200R. I started already with the risoma stuff (levers, bar end mirrors and oil&vinigar cover) :

After polishing the tank, i hope to obtain this:

The Kineo wheels, but with black spokes:

wow
THANKS so much for adding the pictures
fantastic

so much to ask
THOSE WHEELS.... TUBED or TUBELESS?

the polished tank?
PURE SEX

the Havana Club logo
WOW

love the last picture
i miss my MV Agusta Brutale 910R... but i don't miss its horrible fuel injection woes

Rizoma?
my dealer ship sells everything they make because the owner has it all over every bike HE personally owns
i've always lusted after what they sell... but never had a bike on which to put it
i never owned a ducati, for whatever reason
now....
RIZOMA and the R nineT
what a great combination

just took home my '14 GS
won't TELL you what my FARKLE bill was for THAT bike
... embarrassing, quite frankly

now you have my blood boiling over the possibilities here

thanks for adding the pictures and description
keep them coming, please

IF i buy the bike.
No way to buy a bike and do all those mods if the seat isn't ok for me.
But if i don't buy the R9T, you'll see those mods on my actual R1200R.

More than 10 years I'm collecting info on the net.
7000 pics of café-racers and bits & pieces, 100+ blogs and sites.
You could say i'm a little foolish :)

I have just been pricing the Kineo spoked rims mentioned by M&M ,very nice rims but at £2000 for two hoops  that's a bit heavy on the wallet ,I think I will use the BMW recovery method if a puncture arises ,until I get a fitment response from BMW on the front forks to take the R 1200R dark white alloys for £1150 ;) horses for courses as usual :D

I was afraid of that when it came to the price of those rims. They are beautiful. I hope that we can have a separate thread sooner work every single tubeless rim option can be listed with a link to the manufacturer and an accurate set of pricing information

pretty please... with sugar on top
