Sooo, wrap it with the screw attached to the ring? Am I getting you right?Loosen the screw under the ring but do not remove it fully, it is difficult to get back together if you do.

What do you mean with put on dry?@Petrolpants Should be put on dry mate, what type of vinyl is it?
I was following the guide in post 1 in this thread. Soapy water was a he way to go as per Marc Australia. But I hear you, will try dry on the lamp mask and snorkel.@Petrolpants Wrap vinyl is applied dry, you heat and stretch as you go. Don't use water.
Remove the ring altogether, put dry vinyl across the ring and heat and pull down on the outside working your way around. You should end up the a bezel that looks like a drum, heat the centre and push down from the middle, cut a hole on the middle and pull down the inside of the bezel. Hope that makes sense.@jigsaw hi mate. Question: so I gotten this far. Did you go ahead and remove the springs to get the bezel/ring fully loose or did you wrap it on the bike?
Thanks!Perfect!

I powder coated mine and most of the other silver parts black. You can find pics of my bike in other parts of the forum if you look up my recent posts.
