Says it fits R1200 series, so it should fit the nineT?

That's what I'm hoping.

Put the hugger in, then replace the passenger seat with some type of luggage rack and carrier for panniers. The rack would permit keeping tail light/signals and license plate holder in about the same location.
My hugger n head guards

I've gone for a hugger as it will be then used in both cases with rear seat on / off to keep the shock and my legs clean :D
It came in black plastic finish with a bead blasted cast alloy finish stay so its strong, but it's now finished in storm black metallic on the plastic hugger with the stay blasted an powder coated satin black ,as are the head guards ;):D

Is that hugger a BMW part? If so, what bike is it normally used on?

Hey mikeo it's not an official BMW part sold by themselves but an aftermarket for the R1200R ;):D

Who makes it?

Let's just say a large French aftermarket firm ,but it's also sold under many other branded names by other distributors,I don't like name dropping ;):D
Do you like the styling for yourself or just being curious:confused::)

Not good enough for me I'm afraid ,the purchase picture looks good doesn't it  but not a good match in reality ,that's why I've given it a 9T smart look and will blend in oh so well now, and of course it's bespoke now to me anyway IMHO ;):D

I was interested in it because it looks like it might provide a little more coverage than the Wunderlich carbon fiber hugger, but it's hard to tell without getting some dimensions (which I figured I might be able to get from a manufacturer web site).

It's also a question of what is most accessible within the US.
It may seem so but mine was not purchased through them as they don't manufacture it themselves ;) and I paid £1**.oo for mine which was way cheaper than wunderlich but I suppose your price gets ramped up due to taxes
This Part is only distributed by Wunderlich, it's built by Puig. I have this one on my GS
Hmm. It does look to be the same hugger, but Bose has made his look much nicer!

There doesn't appear to be much difference in size based on the photos available on Wunderlich. The cost is $50 USD cheaper than the carbon fiber, but I would probably pay more than that to get the non-carbon hugger painted (unless I did it myself, but it has been quite a long time since I did panel work and I don't have a decent spray gun).

Of course, if I could arrange to get a price like the one Bose got, painting wouldn't be so much of an issue.

I suppose I'll just wait to see what I think of the OEM front fender. If I like it without modification, I go with a non-carbon hugger. But there is a possibility that I'll switch the front fender out for the carbon fiber accessory from BMW, which would then lead to a carbon fiber hugger on the rear to match it.

Not in the UK Gerry ;):D there are also two styles available :D

Are you satisfied with the fender, the way it looks and fits?

Perhaps this is a misunderstanding caused by my bad english. I wanted to say, that Wunderlich is (one of ) the distributor(s) and not the manufacturer.
In Germany it's sold by many companies in different variations.

Yes, I'm very satisfied. Mounting is easy, fits very well and the ESA Suspension isn't piged in permanently.
