Will be installing a completely full system onto my 2017 R9T Racer (Headers and Exhaust attached as one piece). Sounded as if Servo Buddy would be the solution from getting fault light/lamp/code.

However according to Servo Buddy manufacturer (Skutrnet) on 9/14/2017 email received:

".....we actually still need to analyze the new servo motor used on the 2017 BMW models, it is different than what was used previously (as far as the model number goes), but we're unsure if it actually functions any differently or not.* We are currently looking for a customer that would let us borrow their stock servo motor for a couple of days to analyze it....."
I'm intrigued to know the outcome as I intend to remove the servo on my EU4 bike as soon as it arrives next week.

Flapper and servo removed from my 2017 Euro 4 Scrambler and Servo buddy connected in lieu. No warning lights on the dash so I recon all is ok. With the charcoal cannister removed as well ( I did have to reconnect the valve part to the wiring plug) it really cleans up the rear end of the bike.
