I am considering buying the R9T very soon i am very interested in what you guys think about the sporting ability of this bike...I will be coming from a Kawasaki 900RS & was able to set the stock suspension of the Kwaka up so it is good enough to perform pretty well in the twisties (even though others were putting the stock suspension down, which always seems to be the case with any bike) meaning no chicken strips on the tyres & good enough to scrape metal bits on the bitumen from time to time without upsetting the stock suspension....How do you think the R9T will compare ? Once i set up the stock suspension for my weight will I run out of cornering clearance if I push hard ? I haven't been able to find any videos of test rides where they are riding at pace in the twisties & commenting on it's cornering ability...

Any kind of rider can easily drag a foot peg in turns with stock rear suspension height. There are a couple guys on this forum that use track days to have fun, perhaps they can tell you what they have done to their bikes to improve cornering. I have 55 plus years riding and on regular basis scuff my boots having fun. Mine is a classic and may corner different from pure or urban. This is my first BMW and I believe the best motorcycle I have ever purchased for the grin factor.
