How to install SAE connector on 2014 R NineT

Hi folks,

how do you guys go about installing the battery SAE connector without having to remove the battery?

Removing the battery seems like a pain in the ass so wanted to see the easiest way to install the connector.

I see so I will have to still unbolt to lift the tank up.

Do a search on the forum there’s plenty of information readily available. Just fit the lead to the posts behind the tank. The simplest solutions are often the best!

I just want to make sure I have the connectors clearly understood.

I circled the two areas you have connected, the top one is positive and the bottom is negative right?

So I tried this but after leaving the bike for 2 days, I would attach the charger and it would just say the charge is full. Not sure what I am missing here.

It could simply be your battery is full. I use a tender not a charger they are two separate entities with different modus operandi. Optimate has always worked well for me and continues to do so!

Yes. I am using a cheap tender so that might be the cause. I guess I have to shell out for the Optimate.
