Quad Lock motorcycle USB charger

Love my Quad Lock mount for my cell phone on the Scrambler. Decided to buy this charging add-on (have one for the car and it works great). I assumed from the box is was a USB that I could plug into an USB adapter into the bike. Turns out it connects directly to the battery terminals. Any experience with these? I am worried the charger will drain the battery when not in use.

I had the same worries as you when purchasing, but read a couple of reviews and QuadLock says on their website "The charger draws Zero current when not in use so there is no danger of draining your battery." They appear to correct about that and I've been very happy with it!
