Yes. You need to remove the hump to the latch and get the driver seat off as it has to come back a bit to detach. Its a process and if you store the manual under the seat (service history) leave it to the mechanic to deal with. The strap for the seat is a different matter.

If you do it a lot, get the knurled thumb screw mentioned in another thread, to replace the "security" screw that can be removed with a star wrench bought anywhere. It saves a lot of fidgeting.
