Build “Misty” for me - ‘22 Scrambler

I thought I better start my own thread on my build. I have ordered ‘22 Scrambler, which is due late March/ early April. I have made a build list of parts to be added to the bike and parts are coming in (slowly). This is currently in the house, and it will allow me to spray paint the rear...

Don’t post on here really although I’ve been doing the last part of my hard luggage build and making a rear top box rack from a turd of a Chinese generic item that needed ripping apart and making symmetrical. Just making it fit for a shad system….

Rivets for holding in peg rubbers, Rivet for holding in the brake lever switch.

There's something weird going on with your Garmin too. I totally can't read it. I suggest you go to the forum rules and read the thing about acceptable languages again. ;)

Throwing parts at my new racer by swapping the exhaust to Zard and prepping it for some Sato Rearsets. I just bought it last week but had a bunch of “extra” parts laying around as the build for the aluminum bike started to come together.

Then giving my Pro Race another shot on my aluminum bike now that I put together better DB killers. It’s already going to be replaced by another uncommon Zard 2-2, but I’d rather be able to ride it in the meantime.

It’s been a year now since I ordered my polished Kineos for my aluminum bike. I feel like they’ll never arrive. I’m already eyeing some polished Alpinas for the racer, and we’ll see if they are quicker.

And the aluminum build is looking great. Nice work! Can't wait to see the Kineos on it. I see you like brown seats. Have you tried a black seat on it?

Installed a Daedalus swingarm plate mount today! The part feels awesome and is surprisingly light. The carbon is a really cool matte and is much more subtle than I expected. Installation went fairly smoothly, though the original dmoto undertail plate mount bolts installed by the previous owner didn’t want to move. I assume this is because of the salt spray from their ownership? After those bolts were no longer a problem, the installation was a breeze. The instructions on the dmoto website are pretty straightforward. Sal was also great to work with, dmoto’s customer service is probably the best I’ve had.

I do wish that the wire could be tucked a little more, and I plan to see if I can tuck it into the sheath around the brake line on the swingarm. I’m extremely pleased with the product and would absolutely recommend it. I’ve placed an order for the factory rear seat bolt to replace my black knurled aluminum knob (probably an unpopular move) and am toying with the idea of removing those metal loops attached to the frame as I have no intentions to run luggage other than a Kriega bag. Both the seat bolt and those loops are kind of eyesores now that the undertail area is so open, and will only be more annoying once I get a BM440 in there. 6 weeks of ownership down and a whole lot more to come, but still rocking a temp plate while Florida sorts out my metal one.

On a side note, if anyone has experience with the Wunderlich seat with the hump styling PLEASE let me know what you think… I can’t stop thinking about the look but am curious if it’s really worth almost $1k USD. Pic from one of our Taiwanese members included for reference, thanks Brent. My aluminum hump doesn’t exactly match the tank and it makes me itch, plus I just love how the wonderlich seat looks - I contemplated getting a corbin gunfighter but after browsing the forums I’ve found that it just doesn’t look the same. On top of that, Corbin’s customer service sounds like it’d be best described by words that’d get my post removed.
