I have the Roland Sands clip ons and even though they adjusted my forks and triple tree (cant recall how exactly sorry) the rake was still too agressive even for short hauls. I added the Wunderlich vario paralever (expensive) and had an ex BMW race shop dial it in for me. The bike is now neutral and not even at the lowest setting. The paralever made all the difference albeit a costly add. Still not a long haul config but for my use around San Diego perfect. I could easily see for others however still to agressive a stance.
dig your bike. well done. is that twobros exhaust? curious which plate mount you picked up as well. and the mirrors for that matter.

Here are a few pics of the bike with the apex bars on and the riding position. Sorry i'm no photographer.

Hi Adell2,

Passing all this time, what you have more to say about these clip ons?
Are they too agressive for a normal day drive? Do you recomend these, or something like a Rizoma M005 handlebar?

Thanks,
Tiago Garcia

I still don't have them to their max rise but they are pretty brutal man. They are definitely tough on the wrists and back even with my long reach. While at highway speeds they are actually kind of nice as they put your head down into the wind which decreases drag/buffeting. Also what drag there is holds you up and eases the weight on your wrists. On city or high traffic drives though they can hurt. I'm not throwing in the towel yet. May change to a motogadget speedo in which case there will be more room to raise the bars. But that won't be for a bit. The rizoma drag bar may be a nice alternative but for me I'm just gonna treat these bars like my girl treats high heels. They hurt a bit but they look hot as **** so deal with it. Plus I refuse to believe that I'm too old for clip ons haha.

Oh boy! I really do not know what to do... maybe the handlebars Rizoma M005? For now I will wait to Tiagorito review of the clip ons ABM . In the APEX site they also have to rise 10cm, do you think it will be better than 4cm and the original gauje ?

I think the 4cm rise is enough. You'd just have to rotate the bars outward so the clutch cable does not interfere with the gauge (see my first post here). Riding in the city though I do a fair amount of filtering between cars (not smart I know) so I have avoided doing that to keep the bike as narrow as possible. I don't know where you are from but if you are ever in the nj nyc area message me and you can ride the bike to see how you feel about the position. It seems like both the apex and abm's have the same fit so I would think if you wanted to keep the bars narrow you'd run into the same problem with the clutch cable. I will admit the abm bars do look better finished from pictures however they are a fair amount more money.

I live in Qatar, so if you want to bring the bike... you welcome!!! ;)
Can you, please!, take more photos about the clucth cable detail? If you raise the clip to the maximum, the cable it will beat the guage or it will pass over the gauge?

Thank you so much for the info... and pacience!

Different subject but have you had problems with the location/position of your plate? Some says cops will stop you with vertical position.

No hassle yet ln the vertical plate...just a matter of time though. A fix it ticket would be issued at which point I'll have a fabricator friend knock something out for me.

I don't really understand what the Robby handlebars would look like on a bike, but here is a picture of the LSL Fat-bar. They look pretty cool, and I like the gold color in the picture too.

I take it that all you guys are planning on switching handle bars on your nineT.

Hello all,

I am thinking of getting these bars from Rizoma:

Rizoma Universal Conical Handle Bars 29-22mm

Can anyone provide the dimensions of the stock handlebar width, height and pullback? I'm not sure which model of the Rizoma bars I want to go with yet. I'm leaning towards the 15mm height. Also, if anyone has installed these, please give some feedback. Thanks.

Ok! Finally got an answer on the ABM clip ons:

"Sorry for the delay, here is what we can offer... The Multi Clip On full
MSRP is 419.00 sold separately is the matching "short cap" bar end which
retails for 26.95. With any minimum purchase of 5 units or more we can offer
you a price of 377.00 for the Multi Clip-On and the short cap (in Black).
just FYI we have a shipment that will be shipping from ABM in Germany Friday so
anything ordered before that point will take 7-10 days (estimate ) to
arrive, any orders later than Friday will go on our next pallet from Germany
which would be roughly a month to 6 weeks from now."

Who is interested? It'd be great to place order by Friday.

I checked out different Rizoma handlebars and to me the MA005 seems to look the best.
Yeah, I think so too... I'm abandoning my Pastranas now too as I ordered the MA005 yesterday.

I hope for a little bit more lean-forward, with the handle tipping down. The Pastranas are perfect (well almost), don't get me wrong, but I would like a bit more of a cafe-racer style position.

Seeing how low the Rizomas are compared to the FMX bars, I think this is going to be it.

I'll report back once they are installed.

received the Rizomas

Here are some photos...

Took the Pastranas off, compared them and installed the MA005Bs...

First impression comparing them to the Pastranas... mhmm :|

I just don't know... I still think the ABM clipons are the way to go.

What don't you like about the Rizomas? They look a lot lower than the standard 9T bars, but not as low as the clip-ons you had?

Mhmm, to be honest I'm still not sure.

I was probably hoping that the handles are tipping down sideways a little more to have this 'in-between' of clip-on/clubmans and normal handle bars.

But because the Rizomas are so low you can't tip them backwards as much otherwise the controls hit the tank.

Also, even though they seem to be almost the same width as the Pastranas they appear narrower. The handle/grip-part angle is bigger, that's probably why the ends feel closer together.

Don't get me wrong, they are good... just not what I was really looking for.

That's the fourth set of bars

Should have gone for the ABMs first thing... but now I gotta buy a pram ;) this was probably the last coin I spent on the T for the next 18 years... :|
