I have a 2022 Black Storm Metallic roadster.

I’d like to purchase a fault code reader for diagnostic purposes and to clear service lights when I perform my own maintenance.

I used the search function to the best of my ability to try and find if the community had advice regarding favorite code reader. Couldn’t find anything.

please share your advice and experience.

Thank you, Frank

Motoscan works great on my 2014. Read and scan codes. Trigger diagnostic and service functions like ABS and idle air control. Reset service reminder.

Just make sure to get a quality OBD reader like OBDLink MX/LX. You'll be in ~$100 and the device is useful for any vehicle. Oh, almost forgot....you need the standard OBD port to BMW round adapter. I got mine off Amazon for $15ish

Just replying to say that the OBD Links MX did NOT work in my 18 UGS

Also the 18 and newer do not require an adapter as it has a standard OBD II port.
Still searching for an OBD that works.
I have the GS911 which I love but looking for a live dash board OBD screen.
Thork Racing unit doesn’t work either. Also tried some no name amazon model. No luck.
Waiting for Lonelec unit to arrive. Hoping it works.
Peace.

Any luck with that Lonelec? I have the OBDLink MX+ and the UniCarScan UCSI-2100 and neither will work with Torque. Not sure if its a profile setting thats wrong , both connect but no data. Motoscan connects ad reads data without issue but is unusable while riding.
