Hi all

Most of the R Nine T luggage options are retro and I don't think fit the Urban style

I have always liked ortlieb panniers - now touratech seem to have an exclusive distribution on them as their own product

I was thinking of making up a rack to mount the panniers like this

they come in most colours and the bags from turatech are ÂŁ276 for the pair https://shop.touratech.co.uk/side-bag-endurance-click-pair-orange-by-touratech-waterproof.html

I'll buy the frame hoops at ÂŁ45 each

And use this mounting kit at ÂŁ65 : it should make the frame totaly removable in a couple of minutes when you don't need the panniers.

I was wondering if anyone else would be interested if I can find someone to make up the brackets to join the frame hoops to the mounting kit?

Hi folks, please indicate if you would be willing to consider buying this to give @pete.keys indication if he wishes to go ahead with a Group Buy on the forum.

Just reply to this thread.

Obviously price would come into your final decision, but for now an indication of the numbers interested would help Pete gauge how much the Rack would cost to produce.

Cheers!

Dave :)

This is the rack i made for my bike last winter before anybody was selling them. I had to replace blinkers with smaller narrower ones. They held up very well and saved the back half of my bike as it slid down the road on it's side for several hundred feet. It did make for a really fun touring bike, even after a few hundred miles you still want to keep going.

Looks like you've done an excellent job there - it looks sturdier than any on the market today. You've inspired me to continue :eusa_clap:
