Thanks Dave for the links. I finally did it. It took me around 2 hours to change the handle bar. Right after I put everything back, the throttle wont move, so I need to call a technician. It was a quick 30mins job.

A quick comparison between the original handle bar and the Rizoma MA005 affect the look on the bike.

Now the handlebar sits below the highest line on the bike, the top of the gauge. i guess this makes the bike looks cleaner. because you lean more forward, the bike feels sportier and more agile.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this modification. it makes the bike look much cleaner and sportier, as well as makes the bike feel sportier and more agile.
This seems to be working out ok- But ... congrats! you deserve the bike you like! thats awesome !

Now the bike looks much more cleaner and lower. i'm surprised how a handle bar can change a look on a bike quite dramatically.

Totally agree! Very tasteful mods! Still a NineT, but better... :D

Brilliant! I'm happy you like the end result. I agree with your findings. :)

Bike part inquiry

I have the Roland Sands clip ons and even though they adjusted my forks and triple tree (cant recall how exactly sorry) the rake was still too agressive even for short hauls. I added the Wunderlich vario paralever (expensive) and had an ex BMW race shop dial it in for me. The bike is now neutral and not even at the lowest setting. The paralever made all the difference albeit a costly add. Still not a long haul config but for my use around San Diego perfect. I could easily see for others however still to agressive a stance.

Flat6 - What exhaust do you have on this bike? Looks nice!

Now the handlebar sits below the highest line on the bike, the top of the gauge. i guess this makes the bike looks cleaner. because you lean more forward, the bike feels sportier and more agile. The width of the handle bar is also narrower, which makes a lot more comfortable for me (because I have a narrow chest width). It changes the bike from a cruiser to more cafe racer.

Hi Mate, what mirrors are these please, also what tail light do you have ? Nice combination , everything looks great.

Hey mate, i dont really sure about the mirror since its an unbranded mirror, you might want to search it on ebay "bar end mirrors". For the tail light, i made the bracket on my own, or you can buy the kit one from motobox. Cheers!

This is mostly to say thanks to everyone for posting their handlebar installation instructions and experiences. My bike just turned two weeks old, so I bought her some new bars for her birthday. Thanks all!

Nice looking 2WheelsGood. Which bars did you end up purchasing?
Rizoma MA011(B for black). I haven't ridden it yet as it was below freezing this morning. Tomorrow I'll try to take it for a bit of a spin. But just sitting on it feels completely different. I think it's a perfect bar for this bike... if you're leaning towards a "cafe" bike. But not quite so much of a commitment as clip-ons.

I'm hoping someone can give me advice on some bars. I'd like to get some Rizoma bars that are narrower than stock. Ideally I'd get the drag bars or some sort of lower bar.

My concern is that I also have the Rizoma fairing and if I lower the bars it might bunch up the cables since they route through the fairing mounts.

Is anyone using lower bars with the Rizoma fairing? If so, did you have to shorten the cables? Any pics would be awesome as well

thanks everyone
