DB Killers on the Arrow exhaust - WTF?

Bizarrely, there are no instructions online or included with the Arrow Prorace slip-on for the R Nine T Scrambler. Nowhere, nothing.

Does anyone know how to install this DB killer? It looks like it should just 'squeeze' into the muffler but that doesn't seem like it'll really stay put forever. How do you usually do this? I can't find anything online on how to install this.

If it is the same as any other exhaust, you would have to drill out those pop rivets.
DB killers usually attach somehow to the inside of the end cap.

But with the word Prorace, it might not even be able to accommodate the DB killer.

Looking at your photos does it by any chance slide into the pipe end and is held in place by the pipe? In other words from the orientation of the way you’ve shown it go in smaller diameter first and wider ring/flange last. The gasses would then go into the tube and out through the small holes into the main chamber of the silence. Not as many dB killers from the outlet end.

Dunno about that particular model, but on my SC Projects can, the DB killer goes in the back end (the output) and is held in with an internal circlip. In other word, the circlip goes inside the can rather than on the DB killer. To remove or install, you squeeze the ends together rather than spread them apart. (If that's what you meant by 'no ring to put it on').

Is the circlip already installed in the silencer for safekeeping, and you might then have to remove it to install the Db Killer, then reinstall the clip to hold everything in place?

No circlip or space for it to be found. I think indeed the link pipe is supposed to 'press in' the db killer, but that makes alignment internally nearly impossible and it doesn't sound like it does that much. I think that solves this... thanks Scooter Paul.

Anyone have ideas on how to make it a bit quieter? Haha.

Infuriatingly, not on the diagram, but is in the PDF you linked. Part 10: "Silenziatore Interno / Db Killer".

I'll send Arrow a message, but it's super annoying that they just don't have it in the diagram!

This Arrow CBR1000RR has the same type of db killer in the diagram, seems like the link pipe / start of muffler fitment is right:

I wonder if the table of parts is a generic one that they use for different models, and if the diagram is the definitive set of parts for each model? I could be wrong, of course. But given how you say the fit is not great, I might guess that your model isn't designed for one. I'll be interested to hear what they say about it, if you ask them.

P.S. I've seen other Arrow mufflers with the DB killer fitted at the output end. F800GS is an example. They tack-weld a small tab in front of it to 'keep you from removing it'. Keeps them Euro-legal, I imagine.

If the DB killer has a sealed end, as I suspect, wrapping it will choke the bike right off and may even cause damage by effectively blocking the silencer. If the combination of your silencer and this DB killer baffle is still too loud for you I think a change of silencer might be the only way. Back to stock?

I think you could stuff something inside or on the outside, so long as it can still breath. My buddy has been playing with this idea on his panigale which has aftermarket termi’s and dB killer. He bought some stuff on amazon and did a bit of trial and error. Dropped the DB’s to an acceptable level for track riding. Without it, the bike is as loud as any I have ever heard. Here are some pics of what he used:
