I'm sitting here looking at the handlebars and I'm not sure there's room for my Garmin...a place where it won't block the instruments. Lemme know if anybody fits one.

Stupid question, there is no cover against rain, is that an issue? I'm not planning to have the mount 100% of the time on the bike and so this cable will be exposed to rain.
exactly but is it a problem for the connector which is exposed to rain when not plugged to the GPS? It will be connected to the battery directly. I clearly dont understand this but Im sure someone here does...
I have finally found the GPS socket but it has been cut by the scrote who previously stole it! Does anyone know where this cable eventually leads to so I can replace it all, the cut is too tricky to re attach the socket.
No, the gentleman that stole it probably thought any wires showing were for the alarm, so decided to snip away! That’s why I initially had trouble finding the socket as it was nestled inside the bike. At least I don’t have to buy a new socket!
I mountain my Garmin Nav VI with the locking mount by Touratech. It secures the GPS unit, does not block the electronic display or analog instrument clusters, and the black and metal color keep with the aesthetic of my bike.
Excuse the messy garage, but here are some pics of my Garmin zumo XT2 on a BikePedR mount with moto pumps lock. No interference with my gauges or tank bag.
(If you've noticed that the head on pic looks odd it is because I blacked out the reflection on the face of the GPS unit of me taking the photo.)
I replaced my garmin with CHIGEE aio5 - CarPlay use google maps or Waze have Blind spot detection, TPMs front rear at cameras. I fitted it between my motogadget and rear of my rizoma wind detector initially it was recessed but I brought it a bit more to access the buttons
Hello, I’m wondering whether it’s easy to connect the gps nav by myself. I understand I can connect to the battery( I don’t prefer this way). There are red and black cable from garmin and I’m sending the picture of what I’ve got under the seat. Do you think it’s doable in this setup or I need to buy some parts.
