Hi Guys,

I'm driving a 2019 Scrambler and I'm looking to replace my main H4 bulb and parking light bulb with a brighter, whiter bulb. I saw a number of posts in this forum but it seems like all of them eventually throw CANBUS errors.
I haven't see a definitive post that links to bulbs that work and don't throw errors.

Are there any updates on both bulbs that don't throw CANBUS errors and where I might be able to purchase them?

Thanks!

Please try this one and report back on whether it actually fits 😜. Stated to be street legal (a first, I think) and 230% brighter.

The nineT headlight is not very spacious inside.

Mind you, no bikes are in the list for which this is considered street-legal, only cars.

I used to have LED parking lights with resistors in a car because for some reason I never found out, it kept blowing the original filament ones every couple of months. That car does not have CANBUS (it's a MY02) but weird things happened with those LED lamps on without the resistors, such as the brake lights lighting up when turning those lights on. With the resistors, that went away but I later found a couple of "CANBUS ready" parking lights and have used them with zero issues since - and that's more than 10 years ago already.

For our bikes, it's W5W (or 194) lamp, so any of these should fit: Amazon.com : w5w led canbus 194

For the info of others.........

I can confirm, in reference to my '14 Classic Roadster, that I replaced the standard PO bulb for a cheapo LED bulb off ebay about 8 years ago after the OE bulb failed. After fitting, I never had the LED bulb throw a Warning Check Light, or give any problems whatsoever, since that time.

Not sure if later more canbus fussy models will throw a warning as @UGS_Tom suggests however.

As an update to this thread, I did end up purchasing the H4 Cyclops, T10 Cyclops Parking Bulb, and Dynamic Motorrad Turn Signals - All LED. For the cyclops parking bulb, I had to do a little modification to increase the resistance to prevent a lamp fault - Details here:

2019 BMW Scrambler
  1. Dynamic Motorrad Turn Signal Bulbs - Drop in replacement, extremely bright, no lamp faults
  2. Cyclops H4 Bulb - Drop in replacement, extremely bright, better distance no lamp faults
  3. Cyclops T10 Bulb - Connects and lights fine, has lamp faults due to low current, needs additional resistance (see thread above)

In Photo Below - Dynamic Motorrad LED signal on the left (super bright!), standard incandescent on right, main bulb is stock incandescent

I know this post is about a year old but I've tried a bunch of different bulbs for my 2017 RnineT, some from Amazon that are basically no name Chinese brands. I also tried the LED- PERF brand. Although this says it will work for a 2017 I believe that's the second generation bike that has a very sensitive canvas it does not. Repeat it does not. The Cyclops H4 LED works absolutely perfect and I love it. I bought the upgraded version that's brighter and I cannot believe how bright the satellite is and it works perfect. And also completely fits into the headlight bezel which none of the other brands did. I recommend the Cyclops H4 bulb and I'm very glad I followed the advice of some of the people on this forum.
