I paid about $620 before tax for all the parts and installed it myself.
It certainly looks good but this price suggests well over ÂŁ500 with the VAT when it becomes available in the UK and even more if paying the dealer to fit it.

For that price BM can shove it.

I would have been interested at say around ÂŁ200 for my Pure but at that figure I'll stick with my single clock and keep my Pure entirely pure.

It's not the price that pisses me off, it's the misleading marketing from BMW - every pre-launch review, every brochure for the Scrambler suggesting a tachometer would be an available option. What B*******s. That said the bike is everything and more of what I hoped it would be. As for BMW - they can go f*** themselves. I have now discovered Yamaha - BWM C650 Sport was on my list to replace a Piaggio MP3 but it's agricultural machinery compared to the competition - so while I'll be keeping the Scrambler this will be my only and last BMW. If you are listening BMW Motorrad F*** YOU1

In the Pure Brochure it has the following part numbers:

Rev counter incl. on-board computer Order number: 62 11 8 564 506
(+) Bracket for twin instrument cluster, Matt Chrome Order number: 77 53 8 389 482*
(o) Bracket for twin instrument cluster, Black Order number: 77 53 8 389 483*

If you google "bmw 62 11 8 564 506" you get a price from KFM of 306 Euro, but I think that is just for the instrument.
This says you need
01 Revolution counter 62118564506 $480.65
02 Bracket f instrument cluster 62118558858 $13.60
03 TRIM PANEL INSTRUMENTS COMBINATION 62118567597 $85.06
04 COUNTERSUNK HEAD SCREW x 2 64226916475 $3.04
05 Grommet x 2 62118356970 $3.61
06 Body screw with shoulder x 2. M5X20 46638521655 $4.06

As you are in the UK you might want to hit up Nick at Cotswold Motorrad for 15% off parts. nickspiller@cotswoldgroup.com

Anyone in UK got the rev counter on the Scrambler? If so, how much did it cost? I pick mine up Friday and have a ÂŁ500 voucher to spend at the dealer
put the 500 towards suspension upgrades....before I changed the front and rear, my scrambler was fine on smooth roads, but you had to have a "glass throttle " on anything bumpy....now the ride is supple and controlled...no more jarring over sharp bumps, it really made the bike and ride experience a whole lot better!!....you don't need a tachometer on this engine...IMHO

I totally agree. I upgraded the rear first because the OEM shock was killing my lower back. Just got around to having the front done and couldn't be happier. I rode a stock bike the other day as a loaner from the dealer and the difference is night and day both comfort and performance wise.

has to be spent on BMW accessories/gear I'm afraid

Just had the first 600m service done on my Pure and while there I asked about the rev counter (I believe it is the same accessory as for the Scrambler). I was told that there is no accessory tach for these models.

When I pointed out that BM introduced it recently in their accs. catalogue (where they call it a "speed indicator") the guy hunted round a bit online and said it was a case of BM showing it before it actually becomes available here because it doesn't appear in the official parts listing source that UK dealers use. He did not know when it would become available and at what price.

Not the first time, he remarked, that BM have promoted accessories and other items like helmets long before they are actually available here.

Can anyone confirm these are all the pieces/part numbers we need?

Thanks!

Rev Counter

That is all you need.
I just mounted the Rev counter on my Scrambler.
Since I did not want to wait for the Scrambler/Pure Bracket for twin instrument cluster I took the one that belongs to the 2017 Nine T (46638558379, 19,55 €).
Works well, looks good.
As for the Countersunk Head Screw (64226916475) you need only one of those.
Greetings from Germany

Can you link to what you bought for the front forks?
